Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a working breakfast at his residence in Chania on Saturday with a group of US Senators of the Republican Party, namely Jerry Moran, Susan Collins, John Boozman, John Cornyn, John Hoeven, who participate, among others, in the Committees on the Allocation of Resources, Information and Energy of the United States Senate, in the presence of Defense Minister Nikos Dendias and US Ambassador George Tsunis, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to the same source, during the meeting the exceptional level of US-Greek relations and US-Greek defense cooperation was discussed, as well as the role of Greece as a pillar of stability and security in the wider region.
Mitsotakis placed particular emphasis on the initiatives undertaken by Greece and on its role in the development of the Vertical Energy Corridor and in Europe’s energy security.
