With the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, a pilgrimage of the youth of the Holy Diocese of Chora was held at the Holy Monastery of Panagia Gorgoepikoos in Geelong.
Participating in the pilgrimage were Bishop Evmenios of Chora and the visiting Bishop, Bishop Chrysostomos of Bukoba and Western Tanzania, who accompanied the young people throughout the day.
The pilgrimage commenced with the Service of Supplication (Paraklesis) to the Most Holy Theotokos, celebrated in the monastery’s katholikon and prayerfully chanted by the sisterhood of nuns.
The young participants were then given the opportunity to tour the monastery grounds, gain a closer understanding of the daily life of the monastic community, and enjoy moments of rest, fellowship, and spiritual enrichment within the peaceful environment of the holy monastery.
