The feast day of St Paisios the Athonite was celebrated at the Holy Monastery of St John in Perth on Tuesday the 12th of July.
The celebrations included the Hierarchical Vespers Service and Divine Liturgy officiated by Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea.
On the actual day of the feast, His Grace spoke briefly about the life of St Paisios and referred to the great sacrificial love that the saint showed towards those suffering around him.
Bishop Elpidios conveyed all the paternal love and blessings of Archbishop Makarios of Australia and once again thanked the great benefactors of the Holy Monastery of St John.
This year’s feast day of St Paisios the Athonite was celebrated in the homonymous church located on the grounds of the Holy Monastery and also coincided with the three-year anniversary of Archbishop Makarios’ first visit to Perth.
