On Sunday, January 1, 2023, Sunday before the Nativity of Christ, the annual memorial service for the repose of the souls of the departed Hagiotaphite Fathers, memorable Patriarchs, High Priests, Priests, Hieromonks, monks, and nuns was held at the Catholicon of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
This memorial service was held after the Divine Liturgy which was officiated by Archbishop Philoumenos of Pella.
The memorial service was presided over by Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem, with the participation in prayer of Metropolitan Isychios of Kapitolias, the Archbishops, Aristarchos of Constantina, Theophanes of Gerassa, Methodios of Tabor, Theodosios of Sebastia, Philoumenos of Pella, and the Metropolitan Joachim of Helenoupolis.
After the service, the Patriarchal entourage returned to the Patriarchate Reception Hall for a reception for the departed.
