The Patriarchate of Jerusalem in a statement unequivocally condemns actions such as those of the so-called “Philanthropic Market,” self-styled association “Friends of the Well of Jacob” (based in Nicosia, Cyprus), “which falsely claim to raise funds for the medical expenses and protection of the health of Archimandrite Ioustinos, the Hegumen of the Jacob’s Well Pilgrimage, from attacks in Neapolis of Samaria, and demands the immediate cessation of such actions.”
“At the same time, it is clarified for those who are unaware, that the Patriarchate fully covers all medical expenses and security for the Reverend Archimandrite Ioustinos and that such actions defame the Patriarchate, the Jacob’s Well Pilgrimage, and Archimandrite Ioustinos himself, the founder of the wondrous Church of St. Fotini, the Samaritan woman,” the statement reads.
