The Greek Community in Damascus celebrated the Ohi Day in the presence of the Patriarch John of Antioch and All the East, which coincided this year with the centenary of the Greek Community.
Minister of Social Affairs Rima Qadiri, President of the Greek Community Habib Saloumi, and PM Amira Stephanou, along with Consuls George Qatini, Ayoub Hanna and Hazem Daniel and members of the Community and many people living in Damascus attended the festal event.
The celebration began with the doxology at the Church of the Holy Cross while Patriarch John spoke of the good relations between the two countries and the good relations between the Patriarchate of Antioch and the Church of Greece.
