The Patriarchate of Antioch shared a poignant social media post commemorating the martyrdom of Antoinette Moussa Ghamid, who passed into eternal life on Sunday, July 27, 2025, as a result of the terrorist bombing at St. Elias Church in the Dweilaa district of Damascus.
Forty days have now passed since the tragic massacre, which initially claimed 25 lives and left dozens injured. The death toll has since risen to 27 victims.
On July 25, 2025, with the blessing of Patriarch John of Antioch and All the East, a Divine Liturgy was held in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the devastating attack, marking the solemn fortieth day since the tragedy at St. Elias Church.
