On the First Saturday of Lent, March 20, 2021, a day on which the Church commemorates the miracle of the glorious Great Martyr Theodore the Tyro, Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria presided over the Divine Liturgy at the homonymous chapel in Alexandria.
The Divine Liturgy was attended by Patriarchal Vicar of Alexandria, Metropolitan Narcissus of Naucratis and Bishop Germanos of Tamiatheus.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, after the Patriarch blessed the breads and the kollyva in honor of the saint, he hoped that all the years of the faithful would be many and blessed and that they would always remember that Alexandria was the center of the Patriarchate.
