Today, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in the morning, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew celebrated a Trisagion for the repose of the soul of the late Metropolitan of Bizye, Athinagoras, at the Patriarchal Church, together with the members of the Patriarchal Court.
Immediately after the Trisagion, the Patriarch departed for his birthplace, the island of Imbros, where on Saturday, July 5, he will celebrate the 40-day memorial service for the late Metropolitan of Moschonisia, Kyrillos, who served as shepherd of the islands of Imbros and Tenedos for eighteen years.
The Patriarch is accompanied by Metropolitan Vasileios of Constantia and Ammochostos, hierarch of the Church of Cyprus, as well as the Patriarchal Deacons Anatolios Doxastakis and Fotios Poulopoulos.
