A solemn Patriarchal Divine Liturgy was celebrated on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the historic Holy Pilgrimage of Panagia Ekatontapyliani in Paros, presided over by Patriarch Theodoros II of Alexandria and All Africa.
Concelebrating with the Patriarch were Metropolitan George of Guinea, Director of the Patriarchate of Alexandria’s Athens Office; Metropolitan Kallinikos of Paronaxia; and Bishop Bartholomew of Keramon.
Metropolitan Kallinikos formally welcomed the Patriarch and, following a decision by the Pilgrimage’s Administrative Council, bestowed upon him the Cross of Panagia Ekatontapyliani as well as a Kritato Epitrachelion—a unique vestment historically reserved exclusively for the Patriarch of Alexandria.
Visibly moved, the Patriarch expressed his deep gratitude for these gifts of love and addressed the faithful with words of pastoral encouragement and spiritual exhortation.
The Divine Liturgy drew a large congregation of worshippers, including local officials, with the Governor of Paros-Antiparos, Mr. Vazeos Petropoulos, in attendance.
