On Thursday, May 23, 2024, Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem received Ode Kawas, inspector of the Arabic Schools of the Patriarchate; the ministering Priest of the Community of Yaffo, Fr. Konstanti; a group of representatives of the Middle East Churches for Peace organization; and the director of the Schmidt German School in Jerusalem, Mr. Dietrich Bäumer, along with a group of teachers and students from the school. This meeting was held under the supervision of the German archaeologist Professor Dieter Vieweger, who has been conducting archaeological work on the hill of Holy Zion.
