Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria will meet Archbishop Ieronymos tomorrow, November 19, at 10 a.m. The meeting of the two primates will take place in the aftermath of the recognition of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine by the Church of Greece and the Patriarchate of Alexandria.
Russia targeted Patriarch Theodore and Archbishop Ieronymos due to the commemoration of Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv by the two primates. Since then the Patriarchate of Moscow ceased commemorating the two aforementioned primates in retaliation for the recognition of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
During tomorrow’s meeting, Archbishop Ieronymos and Patriarch Theodore will reportedly discuss bilateral issues of mutual interest as well as developments on an inter-Orthodox level.
