Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia visited the works on the renovation of the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Zagreb, which was damaged in an earthquake two years ago, on March 5, 2022.
“The works, thank God, are advancing well now, although we will still need a lot of patience and resources to return the beauty to our temple. The Lord thus invites us to renew ourselves in a spiritual sense, to build up and transform ourselves, remembering the words of the Apostle Paul: “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him, you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”(Ephesians 2: 19-22) said the Patriarch of Serbia.
