Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia and the hierarchs participating in the regular session of the Holy Assembly of Bishops attended an official reception on May 15, 2025, at the White Palace in Belgrade.
On behalf of the Royal Family of Karađorđević, the host of the Assembly Fathers was His Royal Highness Crown Prince Filip.
Warmly greeting the esteemed guests, Prince Filip emphasized the necessity of spiritual unity and the importance of preserving the values that the Church has tirelessly borne witness to for centuries in the life of the Serbian people.
The Patriarch offered a special greeting to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander and thanked Prince Filip for his gracious hospitality, wishing happiness and prosperity to the Royal House.
On this occasion, Patriarch Porfirije highlighted the deep historical connection between the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Karađorđević dynasty, as well as the importance of preserving unity, peace, and identity — legacies entrusted to us by our glorious ancestors, which remain binding even today in the life of the Serbian people of Saint Sava.
