On February 25, 2025, Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia received a delegation of the Orthodox Church of Russia at the Patriarchal Palace in Belgrade.
The delegation consisted of Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, and Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Nikolai Balashov, Advisor to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.
Along with the Patriarch of Serbia, Metropolitan Irinej of Bačka, and Protopresbyter Georgije Stojisavljević, Head of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch, participated in the fraternal discussion with the distinguished guests.
During the day, the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church had a telephone conversation with Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, during which they exchanged views on the challenges facing the Orthodox Church. He also expressed hope for a speedy and peaceful resolution of conflicts and antagonisms.
