Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia received Ilija Koberidze, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Georgia to Greece, with a mission in Belgrade, at the Patriarchate Palace in Belgrade on July 20, 2021.
In a cordial conversation with the Georgian diplomat, the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church emphasized the importance of good relations between the peoples of Serbia and Georgia, which are close both in faith and in the culture that is Christian in foundation.
Koberidze emphasized that in the Republic of Serbia he felt at home with his people and that was why he invested a great effort in the development of tourism and pilgrimages between Serbia and Georgia in order to get to know the two peoples better.
The reception was attended by the elected Vicar Bishop Justin of Hvosno, Honorary Consul of Georgia to Serbia, Dragan Sagovnovic, and the head of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch, Deacon Aleksandar Prascevic.
