On the third Sunday after Pentecost, on June 29, 2025, Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia officiated the Divine Liturgy at the Monastery of the Presentation of the Most Holy Theotokos in Belgrade. He was joined by Bishop Nikon of Jenopolje, along with monks, priests, and deacons.
In his sermon following the Gospel reading, the Patriarch emphasized that today’s message offers essential guidance for life, making clear that one cannot serve both God and the devil simultaneously. There are only two paths: life in Christ or life apart from Christ. Each individual must choose whether to embrace Christ or reject Him.
“When we live in Christ, choosing the Gospel as the foundation and framework of our lives, we gain clarity about what our true priorities should be,” the Serbian Patriarch said.
