Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the side chapel of Saint John the Theologian at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the University of Belgrade on April 11, 2021, on the Fourth Sunday of Great Lent.
Patriarch Porfirije expressed great satisfaction and joy that he has the opportunity to worship at the Orthodox Theological Faculty: “The Faculty is one of the most important points in the life of our Church. The Faculty of Theology is the root from which the tree grows and bears the fruits of the mission of our Church. The faculty is our home and a place where we try to learn authentic theology, a theology that is not only sterile philosophical, even the most perfect, thought, and it is not just a word about God, but theology that is at the same time living in accordance with what we believe in.
Patriarch Porfirije was concelebrated by Archimandrite Procopios (Tayar) from the Patriarchate of Antioch, hieromonk Nektarija(Djuric), protonamesnik Dragan Popovic, priest Borisa Sanjic, hierodeacon Sava (Bundalo) and deacon Zdravko Jovanovic.
