A solemn celebration was held on May 9, 2026, in the crypt of the Church of Saint Sava in Belgrade as part of the “Days of Saint Sava Seminary” events.
The event gathered numerous guests, while the program featured performances by the choirs of the Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Theological Seminary, the Military High School, and the “Mokranjac” Music School.
In his welcoming address, the rector of the Seminary, Protodeacon Radomir Vrućinić, highlighted the importance of the institution, which has left its mark on the history of the Serbian people, as well as the role of the future clergy who will graduate from the school.
At the conclusion of the academy, Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia also addressed those present. After blessing the attendees, the Patriarch extended feast-day greetings and expressed the hope that all would follow the example of Saint Sava and remain faithful to the path leading to eternal life.
Visitors also had the opportunity to view the exhibition “Saint Sava Seminary: From Foundation to Renewal,” curated by Deacon Budimir Kokotović, which presents the 190-year uninterrupted history of the institution.
