On September 13, 2021, Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia visited the monastery of St. John the Baptist in Jasenovac on the occasion of marking the feast of the Holy New Martyrs of Jasenovac and the memory of the eightieth anniversary of the founding of death concentration camps in Jasenovac.
Patriarch Porfirije officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of Archbishop Makarios of Qatar, Metropolitan Isidor of Smolensk and Dorogobuzh and Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral; Bishops Atanasije of Milesevo, Gerasim of Gornji Karlovac, Jovan of Slavonia, Andrej of Austria-Switzerland, Sergije of Bihac-Petrovac, Kiril of Buenos Aires and South-Central America, Dimitrije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina, Isihije of Valjevo and retired Bishop Georgije of Canada.
