Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church delivered a message on Tuesday on the occasion of the oath-taking ceremony of the 2026 graduating class of the “Justinian Patriarch” Faculty of Orthodox Theology at the University of Bucharest.
In his message, the Patriarch described the event as “a blessed moment in one’s ongoing spiritual formation,” reflecting both maturity and responsibility on the part of the graduates.
Patriarch Daniel emphasized that completing theological studies provides a solid foundation for future growth and service. He noted that the graduates’ oath of fidelity is a call to liturgical, missionary, and social ministry, urging them to translate their commitment into concrete actions and initiatives that bring hope and joy to children, young people, and adults who love the Church and participate in its life.
“The graduation from a faculty of theology constitutes a basis for future, solid and dynamic development,” the Patriarch stated, encouraging the graduates to combine faithfulness with diligence in their service to the Church and society.
Concluding his message, Patriarch Daniel congratulated the graduates of the Class of 2026 and their professors for their achievements and wished them continued success in their future ministry and endeavors.
