Patriarch Kirill of Moscow met Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos Karekin II of All Armenians.
In their meeting Patriarch Kirill referred to “discriminations” against the Orthodox Ukrainian Church of the Patriarchate of Moscow.
The head of the Church of Russia, among other things, expressed to the Armenian Patriarch the concern of the Patriarchate of Moscow about the situation in Ukraine.
The Patriarch of Moscow referred to the Ecumenical Patriarchate, stressing that “the intervention of Constantinople in Ukraine resolved no problems, but created new problems, disempowering the unity of Orthodoxy.”
On his part, the Armenian Patriarch thanked Patriarch Kirill for the meeting, while asking the head of the Church of Russia to mediate in the release of Armenian citizens who are in prison in Azerbaijan.
