Patriarch Kirill of Moscow expressed gratitude for Patriarch Daniel’s support of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in his congratulations message on the second anniversary of his patriarchal enthronement.
In his message, Patriarch Kirill praised the Primate of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church for his dedicated leadership, noting that he has guided the Church with zeal for the glory of God while serving as an example of faith, integrity, and pastoral care.
Referring to Patriarch Daniel’s ministry, the Russian Patriarch highlighted his efforts to strengthen the faithful in the Orthodox faith and to continue the spiritual legacy of Saints Cyril and Methodius, Saint John of Rila, Saint Euthymius of Tarnovo, and other prominent figures in Bulgarian Orthodoxy.
Patriarch Kirill also expressed gratitude for Patriarch Daniel’s support of the hierarchs, clergy, and faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (OCU) under Metropolitan Onufriy.
Concluding his message, the Patriarch of Moscow wished his Bulgarian counterpart strength in body and spirit, as well as God’s abundant help for many more years of peaceful and blessed patriarchal ministry.
