To Her Excellency, the President of the Hellenic Republic Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou
Your Excellency, President,
I cordially congratulate you on your important personal anniversary.
For many years you have been working for the benefit of your country. You are known as an experienced public servant with social awareness, especially in environmental issues, which find response and support among citizens.
The Russian and Greek peoples have the same faith and are linked to a common historical past. Hospitality and readiness to provide assistance in times of trials are some traits of the inhabitants of our countries.
By diligently preserving the heritage of our ancestors, we are called together to defend Gospel’s ideals, that is, to testify to the value of human life, to show our love for the neighbor in deeds.
I wholeheartedly wish you health, strength from God and much success in your work for the sake of the state and I wish the Greek people peace and prosperity.
Yours sincerely,
+ Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia
