Patriarch Kirill of Moscow has sent a message of support to Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana and All Albania in light of the illness affecting the Primate of the Albanian Orthodox Church.
“Having learned of the illness that has befallen you, I extend my sincere sympathy and fraternal support to Your Beatitude and assure you of my prayers for your swift recovery,” the message states.
The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church warmly recalled his brotherly interactions and mutual understanding with Archbishop Anastasios, which have resulted in “joint actions aimed at strengthening the unity of Orthodoxy and bearing witness to our faith to non-Orthodox Christians and the outside world.”
“May Christ the Savior, by whose wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), strengthen your spiritual and physical powers, help you overcome the burdens of illness, and grant you His gracious consolation and peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7),” wished Patriarch Kirill to the Primate of the Albanian Orthodox Church, according to the Press Service of the Patriarch of Moscow.
