Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia extended his heartfelt congratulations to Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia on the anniversary of his election and enthronement as the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
In his congratulatory message, Patriarch Kirill addressed Patriarch Porfirije as a “beloved brother and concelebrant at the altar of God,” acknowledging his significant role in leading the Church of Saint Sava. He noted that by divine providence, Patriarch Porfirije was called to the Patriarchal Throne of Peć, entrusted with the mission of preaching the Gospel, healing the spiritual wounds of sinners, and uniting the faithful in faith and love.
Patriarch Kirill praised the Serbian Patriarch’s dedicated service, emphasizing his commitment to ensuring that “the Lord Jesus Christ, the True Light that enlightens every person who comes into the world (John 1:9), reigns in the hearts of the clergy and laity under his care with grace and love.”
On this significant day, Patriarch Kirill offered his prayers, wishing Patriarch Porfirije “strong health, spiritual joy, and unwavering divine assistance for many peaceful and blessed years of patriarchal ministry.”
