Patriarch Kirill of Moscow extended heartfelt congratulations to His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine on the occasion of his Name Day.
In his congratulatory message, Patriarch Kirill addressed his brother in Christ with warm words of spiritual kinship and admiration for his ministry: “Your Beatitude, beloved brother in the Lord and concelebrant at the throne of God, I warmly congratulate you on your Name Day.”
Reflecting on the legacy of the Holy Martyrs of Sebaste, among whom was the courageous warrior Theophilos, Patriarch Kirill noted their remarkable steadfastness and faithfulness, which led them to receive the crown of life, as written in Revelation 2:10.
“Strengthened by the intercession of your heavenly patron and all those who suffered alongside him for Christ, you zealously carry out your labor-intensive Patriarchal ministry. You stand firm for the Orthodox faith in the land of ancient Palestine and teach the clergy and flock entrusted to your care to endure the path set before us with patience.”
Patriarch Kirill concluded his message with a prayer for health, strength, and peace: “May the merciful Lord grant Your Beatitude robust health and His almighty help in your primatial ministry, and may He bless the Holy Church of Jerusalem under your leadership with peace and prosperity.”
