Patriarch Kirill of Moscow congratulated Archbishop Ioannis of Tirana, Durrës, and All Albania on the anniversary of his enthronement, praising his pastoral ministry and dedication to the Church.
In his message, Patriarch Kirill noted that Archbishop Ioannis “was called by the will of God… for the building up of the Body of Christ,” highlighting the responsibility of his high office.
He also emphasized that the Archbishop has proven to be “a worthy successor” to his predecessor, Archbishop Anastasios, whose name is closely linked with the revival of the Albanian Orthodox Church.
The Patriarch further underlined that Archbishop Ioannis continues “to proclaim the word of truth” with zeal, while caring for the spiritual growth of the clergy and faithful entrusted to him.
Concluding his message, Patriarch Kirill expressed his prayerful wishes for “good health, peace, and abundant divine assistance” in his ongoing primatial ministry, offered “for the benefit of Holy Orthodoxy.”
