Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has extended heartfelt congratulations to Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem on the occasion of his 50th anniversary of priestly ordination.
In his message, Patriarch Kirill addressed Patriarch Theophilos III as a beloved brother and fellow servant at the throne of God, expressing sincere joy for this significant milestone.
He recalled that “fifty years ago, God bestowed upon Patriarch Theophilos the sacred priesthood, empowering him to offer prayers, supplications, and thanksgiving on behalf of all people (1 Timothy 2:1).” He added, “for nearly two decades, Patriarch Theophilos has diligently fulfilled his patriarchal ministry in the land of Palestine, faithfully teaching the word of truth to his flock (2 Timothy 2:15), while fostering peace and upholding canonical Orthodoxy.”
Patriarch Kirill joined the entire Holy Church of Jerusalem in fervent prayers for the good health and long life of Patriarch Theophilos. He wished him spiritual vigor, strength of soul, and unceasing support from Christ the Savior in his high and sacred patriarchal service.
