On Bright Tuesday, 1st/14th April 2026, Patriarch of Jerusalem, Theophilos III, received the priests of the Metropolis of Acre–Ptolemais, twelve in number, under Metropolitan Makarios of Acre–Ptolemais.
These conveyed their Paschal greetings to Patriarch Theophilos and spoke with Him concerning the manner of the celebrations of the Holy Week and Holy Pascha in the light of the recent war situation and the ceasefire agreed thereafter in northern Israel, near Lebanon. Patriarch Theophilos blessed them and commended His Eminence and the priests for their zeal in the fulfilment of their episcopal and priestly duties in every parish of Ptolemais.
Thereafter, Patriarch Theophilos received representatives of the Community of Yaffo, under Archbishop Damaskinos of Yaffo, who expressed their gratitude to His Beatitude for His contribution towards overcoming their difficulties during the Holy Week and the Feast of Pascha.
Subsequently, Patriarch Theophilos received the Orthodox physician Hisam Nasar, together with the former Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, Suheil Dawani.
Finally, Patriarch Theophilos received the Mukhtar of the city of Jerusalem, Mr George Kamar, the presbyter Raja–Nektarios, and the person responsible for Arabic-language education of the Patriarchate, Mr Zendan.
