On Friday, November 15, 2024, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Israel, Daulet Yemberdiyev, visited the Patriarchate of Jerusalem and conferred upon Patriarch Theophilus III the prestigious First Order of Peace of the State of Kazakhstan.
The decoration was awarded on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan in recognition of the Patriarchate’s strong ties with the country and Patriarch Theophilus’s significant contributions to interfaith, cultural, and peace-building dialogues.
As a further gesture of respect, Ambassador Yemberdiyev presented the Patriarch with a beautifully crafted traditional amphora.
