On Monday, January 26, 2026, Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem received a group of twenty-five Greek pilgrims led by Archimandrite Father Makarios.
He also received a group of faithful from the Holy Metropolis of Ptolemais in northern Israel, led by Fathers Theodosios Machoulis and Savvas.
He also received thirty-five pilgrims from Russia and twenty-one from Poland.
Subsequently, the Patriarch received Metropolitan Mark of Berlin of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR), accompanied by the abbot of the monastery of the Mount of Olives and Gethsemane, Archimandrite Father Romanos.
Lastly, he received Taleh Nazarli, Consul of the Embassy of Azerbaijan, and Ravan Hasanov, Executive Director of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center. They are representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan and congratulated the Patriarch on his pastoral and multicultural activities in safeguarding the status quo of the Holy Places. They also invited him to visit their country at an appropriate time.
