On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem received in audience Metropolitan Mark, Bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR), who was accompanied by a group of pilgrims and Archimandrite Romanos. They extended an invitation to His Beatitude to attend the celebration of the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord at the Russian Monastery of the Ascension on the Mount of Olives.
On the same day, His Beatitude also welcomed Fr. Don of the Anglican Church along with his associates, as well as the Patriarchal Representative of Acre, Fr. Silouan, together with the celebrating Elder Sacristan of the Holy Sepulchre, Archbishop Isidoros of Hierapolis.
On Wednesday, May 28, the day of the Leave-taking of Pascha, His Beatitude received Bishop Nicholas of New York of ROCOR. He also welcomed the Superior of the Russian Monastery of the Ascension, Archimandrite Romanos, who came in relation to the blessing of the new Abbess of the Monastery, Gerontissa Judith, which was given by His Beatitude. Additionally, the newly tonsured Abbess of the Holy Monastery of Saint Euthymius in the Old City of Jerusalem, Nun Sarah—now renamed Photini—was received and blessed by His Beatitude, who addressed her with paternal and spiritual encouragement.
On Friday, the May 30, His Beatitude received a group of pilgrims from Georgia and bestowed upon them his blessing. He also met with Archbishop Damaskinos of Yaffo to discuss matters concerning the Monastery of the Archangels in Yaffo, as well as with Archimandrite Artemios regarding the Monastery of the Holy Forerunner and Prophet Elias in Haifa. Later, the Head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem (MISSIA), Archimandrite Vassianos, visited His Beatitude to formally invite him to attend the celebration of the Feast of the Monday of the Holy Spirit at the Russian Church.
