On Thursday, 21 August 2026, Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem received:
Alexandre Stutzmann, Ambassador of the European Union to Israel, accompanied by his Secretary. He expressed his gratitude to the Patriarch for the trust shown towards him and for the excellent cooperation during the years of his service.
In turn, the Patriarch thanked him for his support of the Patriarchate and the Christians of the Holy Land and presented him with the medal struck by the Patriarchate to commemorate the two-thousandth anniversary of Christianity.
Subsequently, His Beatitude received the Franciscan Hieromonk Fr Dombromir for discussions concerning cooperation in promoting the conservation works at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
On Friday, 21 August 2026, Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem received:
Fr Khader Baramki, parish priest at the Cathedral Church of Saint James the Brother of the Lord, for guidance regarding the publication of the Fifteen August Prayer Book in Arabic.
Thereafter, the Patriarch received a family from the town of Kafr Yasif in northern Israel, accompanied by one of their sick children. He blessed the child and read over it the Church’s prayer for healing. He then directed them to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, in order that the Holy Wood of the Precious Cross might be placed upon the child’s body—the Cross upon which our Lord Jesus Christ, who was crucified in the flesh for our sake, was hung—for strength and healing.
He also received the Hegumen of Haifa, Archimandrite Artemios, together with Dionysios, who has been proposed for ordination in order to serve the Community of Haifa.
His Beatitude blessed him and recommended that, in accordance with the decision of the Holy and Sacred Synod, he be ordained after the feast of the Dormition.
