In the Synodal Palace, Bulgarian Patriarch Daniel welcomed Professor Julian Revalski, President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS). During their meeting, Patriarch Daniel expressed his gratitude to Professor Revalski for the Academy’s support in organizing the Fourth Patriarchal Electoral Church Council. He also emphasized the longstanding and positive relationship between the Bulgarian Orthodox Church (BOC) and the BAS.
Professor Revalski extended an invitation to Patriarch Daniel to participate in the upcoming celebrations marking the 155th anniversary of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, set to take place in October.
The conversation also delved into the relationship between faith and science, exploring areas where the Church could support scientific endeavors. The meeting concluded with mutual well-wishes for continued success in both scientific and public service, as well as a shared hope for future collaborative initiatives that would not only benefit the scientific community but also contribute to the spiritual enrichment of the Bulgarian people.
