On Friday, August 30, 2024, Patriarch Daniel celebrated a solemn co-liturgy at the Cathedral of Saint Alexander Nevsky in Sofia, marking the feast day of the translation of the saint’s holy relics. The service was attended by Bishops Melnik, Belogradchik, and Branitsa, alongside Archimandrite Vladimir Tishtkuk, the representative of the Moscow Patriarchate in Sofia.
During the Divine Liturgy, many faithful received the Body and Blood of Christ. At the conclusion of the service, Patriarch Daniel delivered a sermon reflecting on the life and faith of Saint Alexander Nevsky. He emphasized the enduring significance of Orthodox Christianity and urged believers to remain steadfast in their faith amidst contemporary challenges and temptations.
Patriarch Daniel also highlighted that this year marks the centennial of the consecration of the Patriarchal Church and extended his blessings, praying for the continued guidance and mercy of God upon all attendees.
