Patriarch Daniel of Bulgaria attended the inaugural session of the 51st Parliament of the Republic of Bulgaria. He was accompanied by Bishop Gerasim of Melnik, Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod.
Joining the Patriarch were President Rumen Radev, Vice President Iliana Yotova, interim Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, ministers from the caretaker government, representatives of various religious communities, Members of the European Parliament, institutional delegates, and members of the diplomatic corps.
Addressing the media before the ceremonial session, Patriarch Daniel remarked, “We pray for repentance; may God grant us all the grace of repentance, and then progress will follow.”
