On July 18, 2025, Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East received the Members of Parliament for the Koura District—Messrs. Fadi Karam, Georges Atallah, and Adib Abdel Massih—at the patriarchal residence in Balamand.
During the meeting, the MPs expressed their heartfelt condolences for the martyrs of the Church of Saint Elias in Douweila-Damascus. The Patriarch, in turn, thanked them for their solidarity and condolences. The meeting also included a broad discussion of current affairs and the general situation in Lebanon and the region.
