Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East for the Greek Orthodox Church, received the Ambassador of Cyprus to Lebanon, Maria Hadjitheodosiou, accompanied by a delegation, at the Patriarchal headquarters in Balamand.
The meeting highlighted the historic ties between the Church of Antioch and Cyprus, especially in light of the current regional developments and challenges facing the Christian presence in the Middle East.
Discussions also focused on strengthening cooperation between the University of Balamand, led by President Dr. Elias Warrak, and the visiting Cypriot delegation, who were at the university to sign memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements.
