The Patriarch of Antioch had a meeting yesterday with a representative of the Moscow Patriarchate in Damascus at the headquarters of the Patriarchate.
During the meeting, they discussed a wide range of topical issues, including relations between the Orthodox Churches. The Patriarch of Antioch once again stressed that his position on the actions of the Ecumenical Patriarchate regarding the Church of Ukraine would not change, as they were considered non-canonical. In addition, he considered that the recognition of the so-called “Orthodox Church of Ukraine” by the Churches of Greece and Alexandria was unjustified and regrettable.
