On January 18, Archimandrite Philip, Representative of the Russian Orthodox Church, was received by Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East at his residence in the Patriarchal Monastery of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos in Balamand.
Archimandrite Philip conveyed greetings and words of support from Patriarch Kirill of Moscow to the Primate of the Antiochian Orthodox Church.
During the discussion, issues concerning the activities of the Representation of the Russian Orthodox Church in Damascus and the Representation Church in Lebanon were addressed, as well as current challenges in inter-Orthodox dialogue.
Archimandrite Philip specifically discussed the cooperation of the Representation Church with the Metropolis of Mount Lebanon. Concluding the conversation, Patriarch John expressed gratitude to Patriarch Kirill for his unwavering support and assistance to the Antiochian Orthodox Church.
