Today, Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East received Metropolitan Saba Esper of New York and All North America, along with Mr. Fawaz Khoury, Vice Chairman of the Archdiocesan Board of Trustees, at the Patriarchal Headquarters in Balamand.
The delegation briefed His Beatitude on the state of ecclesiastical work in North America. In turn, Patriarch John X emphasized the importance of the Antiochian role played by the archdiocese and the deep connection between the churches in the homeland and the diaspora.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss public affairs in Lebanon and Syria, as well as current pressing issues.
