Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa wished the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi and the people of Egypt on tomorrow’s start of the holy month of Ramadan.
In particular, the Patriarch of Alexandria said “May the Almighty God protect us all from any intrusion and give us rich blessings of health and peace”
It should be noted that through his message, the Primate of Alexandria made a special reference to the coronavirus pandemic: “And this year humanity is still being tested by the pandemic, during which unfortunately hundreds of our fellow humans lost their lives in this unequal struggle.” “We pray night and day, that humanity may return to its normality, and that joy and hope may reign on earth.”
“On the occasion of the start of the holy month of Ramadan, I would like to extend my heartfelt wishes to our fellow Muslims in the blessed land of the Nile,” said the Primate of the African Orthodox Church.
Addressing the Egyptian leader Al Sisi, Patriarch Theodore concluded: “I greet and congratulate His Excellency the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and the assistance of the Egyptian Authorities that safeguard the health of our fellow citizens and the peace in Egypt.”
