Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria sent a message to any church that plots the area of missionary work, apparently commenting on the latest developments with the decision of the Moscow Patriarchate to accept under its jurisdiction 102 clergy of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, and to establish an “Exarchate of Africa.”
As pointed out in a telegram reported by ANA-MPA, addressing a large crowd on the occasion of New Year’s Eve, in the Great Hall of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, the Primate of the African Orthodox Church said:
“I sent a message for other Churches to hear about this sacred area called mission.
Because they do not know that for so many years our Patriarchate has not remained silent. But it is our Patriarchate that bleeds and gives these people a hope in God. May God forgive them!”
