During the Divine Liturgy on Sunday in the Patriarchal Monastery of St. Savvas the Sanctified, Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria highlighted the importance of three countries, Greece, Cyprus and Egypt, and their role in maintaining peace and security in the Mediterranean region.
“Our Greece, our Cyprus, our Egypt, these three blessed countries, are comfort and hope for the entire Mediterranean region,” said the Primate of the Church of Alexandria.
Addressing the Egyptians all over the world, he sent his wishes to all those who are still in Alexandria, El Ibrahimiya, Kaniskerio, Shatby, in all the places that played a role in the history of the Greek community in Alexandria.
The Patriarch stressed that “all those who stayed in Alexandria, you should keep in mind that we are on our guard of Thermopylae.”
Finally, on the Virgin Mary’s liturgies beginning in a few days, he sent his wishes to everyone.
