Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, Archbishop Ioannis of Zambia and the Greek Orthodox Church of Zambia sent their wishes to Dr. Kenneth Kaunda on his 96th birthday.
In a letter to the president of Zambia, the two hierarchs say, “You have been an inspiration to us and future generations. The African democracy exists and is constantly improving because of your skills as a political leader and your struggle against racial discrimination regimes and colonialism system. May the Lord bless you and your family with many fruitful years.”
