Patriarch John X of Antioch and all the East received the Greek Ambassador to Lebanon, Franciscos Verros, on a farewell visit to mark the end of his duties, at the patriarchal headquarters in Balamand.
The meeting dealt with the historical relationship between Antioch and Greece, on the ecclesiastic and community levels.
Topical issues and of church affairs in the Orthodox world were also discussed. The Patriarch of Antioch thanked the outgoing ambassador for his efforts in promoting relations. On his part, the ambassador appreciated the role played by the Patriarchate of Antioch and all the East on the church and local levels.
