Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia conveyed a heartfelt message of condolence upon the passing of Archbishop Anastasios of Albania. In his message, Patriarch Ilia expressed the profound sorrow shared by himself and the Georgian Orthodox Church over the loss of the esteemed Primate.
The Patriarch stated:
“On behalf of the Georgian Orthodox Church and on my own behalf, I express our deep sorrow for the death of the Primate of the Church of Albania, His Beatitude Anastasios.
We extend our condolences to the entire Church of Albania and pray for his immortal soul, that the Lord may place him among the righteous. Amen.”
