Patriarch Daniel of Bulgaria officiated a Trisagion prayer service and a thanksgiving moleben marking the 148th anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria.
The commemorative services were held as part of the official celebrations in the capital, drawing clergy, state representatives, and numerous faithful who gathered to honor the historic событие that restored Bulgaria’s freedom.
The Patriarch offered prayers for the repose of those who gave their lives for the country’s liberation, as well as thanksgiving for the gift of freedom and peace. The solemn observances formed part of the wider national commemorations taking place throughout Sofia.
