On Sunday of Thomas, May 9, 2021, the Auxiliary Bishop of Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium, Bishop Joachim of Apollonia, presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Parish of St. Amantos in Kortrijk, which was performed outdoors, at the courtyard of the church.
The Bishop of Apollonia in his sermon referred to the affirmation of the faith of the apostle Thomas through his confession “my Lord and my God” and the joy which springs from the Resurrection of Christ.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Bishop of Apollonia thanked the Hierarchical Head of the Parish, Presbyter Philippe Mevis, for the work he performs with the help of his associates and conveyed the paternal wishes and blessings of Metropolitan Athenagoras to the parishioners. “Christ is Risen!”.
